Work is a gift God gave to man when he put him in the Garden. The first thing Adam did was name all the animals. He even came up with the name for the little bees. This week our story is about a little bee that didn’t want to work. But he soon discovered that if he didn’t want to work, he didn’t get to eat. That was very scriptural. “The one who is unwilling to work, shall not eat” ( 2 Thess 3:10).
This story was written by a young friend in Bolivia, Sonia Quiroga. She loved to write stories about nature. I’m sure she has told her children many fun stories over the years. Now you get to enjoy one of them. Use it to teach children about the importance of work.
Work keeps us busy, healthy, and out of trouble. It sure is a wonderful thing!
