Leo was a very sick boy. He had to have dialysis treatments several times a a week and his condition was so bad he could any minute die of a heart attack. Leo was put on a prayer chain. As it turned out, thousand of people were praying for him. God answered prayer and Leo was healed.

Answer to the activity:
Prayer chain for your classroom. Cut strips of paper long enough to fold over and make a chain link. First write the children’s prayer requests on each strip of paper. Then start a chain of the requests, linking them together. Every week you can add to the chain, as new needs are mentioned. Continue to pray each week for each request. When you have answers, put them in chains and form another chain. Hang the chains in a visible place. If you share the room with others, store them in a box and take them out for each class period. After a time (3 to 6 months) start a new chain, or do something different to encourage prayer. Emphasize the need to thank God for answered prayers.
