Classroom Helps

Teaching helps

envy-or-generosityHere are hearts you can use to teach and illustrate the difference between envy and generosity. As humans we tend to envy, but generosity is so much better.

Choose from the hearts which ones you want to use to decirate the classroom or use all of them. Have each child color a heart or make their own and use those as decorations. The important thing is to teach them generosity as an antidote to envy.

A tranquil heart gives life to the flesh,
but envy makes the bones rot. Prov 14:30

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;  it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
